Al Jazeera: Turkey and Russia to hold talks on Libya, Syria wars
Russian foreign and defence ministers will meet their counterparts during a visit to Turkey.
Russia's foreign and defence ministers will visit Turkey on Sunday for talks, the two countries' foreign ministries said on Saturday, with media reports saying discussions would focus on Libya.
The visit by Sergey Lavrov and Sergei Shoigu was agreed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish foreign ministry said on Saturday, adding that the meeting will cover regional issues.

WNU Editor: Russia is in the driver's seat in both conflicts vis-a-vis Turkey. Turkey does not have the resources to sustain any long term commitment to the war in Libya, and its allies in Syria are being slowing squeezed through attrition. So why this get together? This meeting is more about finding a formula that will freeze the Libyan war at its current state, so that other powers (i.e. the U.S., France, etc.) do not get involved. And in regards to Syria, it is more about keeping the war at a manageable level and to respect the current Syrian government/rebel boundaries for the rest of this summer/fall.
