WNU Editor: Trade deals take a long time to negotiate. And when they are done, such as the new NAFTA deal with Mexico and Canada, Congress will not give a victory to President Trump by passing it. And as for a Chinese trade deal. China's focus is on seeing President Trump impeached by Congress in the coming months, and then defeated in 2020. They are not going to commit to any trade deals until after 2020, and even then they are primarily hoping that a new Democrat President will return to the status quo before Trump was elected.
